If you’ve ever researched building your own teardrop trailer from scratch, then most likely you’ve come across this amazing build from steampunk enthusiast and creative builder Dave Moult. I was delighted and surprised to wake up to an email from Dave a few weeks ago with photos and background on his build.

Dave writes: “It was built out of mostly recycled bits and pieces, and gets a lot of attention wherever we take it. It’s given us so much more joy than we could have imagined. A propane fridge attaches to the outside of the trailer on one side, and the sink is attached to the other side. It has a pull out propane oven as well as a two burner hob. The fridge produces ice in a few hours, he says, and the lower rear hatch doubles up as a pan drawer that slides under the trailer while camping.”

The “Campenarti” is the sixth teardrop he’s built and he describes it as the most comfy and practical of all. There have been several articles written up on Moult’s trailer when he first revealed it to the world in 2014, and it has been an inspiration for me and many more at-home builders. Check out Dave’s extensive photo gallery on his Facebook page.
